4 Tips For Amazing Indoor Natural Light Photography

Tip 1: Choose the right time of day

The best time for indoor natural light photography is during the daytime when there is plenty of natural light coming in through the windows. Early morning and late afternoon are also great times to shoot, as the light is softer and more diffused.

Tip 2: Use a reflector

A reflector can help you bounce light back onto your subject, filling in shadows and creating more even lighting. You can use a white foam core board or purchase a professional reflector.

Tip 3: Position your subject near a window

Natural light from a window can provide beautiful and flattering light for your subject. Position your subject near the window and experiment with the angle of the light by moving them closer or further away from the window.

Tip 4: Avoid direct sunlight

While natural light can be beautiful, direct sunlight can create harsh and unflattering shadows. If the sunlight is too bright, consider diffusing it with a sheer curtain or a piece of white fabric.
